Baldwin Park, CA (August 2024) - Each year, over 5,000 people choke to death. With this writing, LifeVac has just achieved an extraordinary milestone by saving 2,742 lives from choking incidents, with about ½ being children! Each of these rescues represents a precious life spared, a family kept whole, and a community united in safety. LifeVac continues to be a beacon of hope in choking emergencies for communities small and large.
The Technology Depot has been working to distribute LifeVac airway-clearing anti-choking devices to area schools, police departments, emergency medical services, and the community.
Desiring to continue providing exemplary service and protection to its community, Chief Lopez embraced this lifesaving device by purchasing 30 LifeVac devices. These devices are now strategically placed in the officers’ vehicles and other pertinent locations for easy access should a choking event occur within Baldwin Park. The distribution includes specific training and implementation.
“We are grateful for the dedication of the Baldwin Park Police Department for implementing LifeVac in their police department,” said Ginny Dean, President of The Technology Depot. “It’s an incredible honor to know them and support them.”
Founded in 2012, LifeVac is the only portable, noninvasive airway clearance device registered and fully regulated by the FDA as a class II suction device. It can save lives and is an essential tool when someone is choking.
